Bible Facts: Living with Jesus

Hebrews 12:2      "Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus"  (New American Bible).

We do this, by continually having the image of Jesus fixed in our mind.

Continually visualize Jesus before us, as we live out our lives.

As we do this, two things are accomplished:

 1.  We understand what it is that Jesus
 wants us to do at this very moment;
we are united with Jesus being
offered to God the Father in every Mass throughout the world.

Jesus is enabled by us, to use us, and our resources in this world to accomplish his objective, namely to save souls.  We will be both amazed at how much he can do, and how little are doing.

2.  As Jesus permits proximity to sin to enhance His power in our lives, we are able to draw on His Passion to strengthen us against temptations and troubles.

So, while we may be serving Jesus, we don’t risk becoming battered, because we are continually being strengthened.  We are spiritually drinking His Body and Blood until that time when we really can eat and drink at His Mass.

And so from this point on we have a continual companion that enables us to embrace our cross to the extent, that our cross carries us.  Each event of his life becomes a point of strength for us.

Jesus, in fact, has become for us,  the pearl of great price that enables us to handle every burden that Jesus might place before us.

Jesus, living in your life, is reinforced by the frequent reception of His Body and Blood in the Mass.  Otherwise, he can fade from your life.

While Jesus can use us as a friend or foe, whether we think of him or not, he can only use us as a friend, to the extent that our sins are forgiven, we surrender to him, and our eyes are fixed on him.

With our eyes fixed on him, there is nothing that we can not do for him.

He now is in charge, you are not.

He is the healer; he may choose to heal through you.

He is the exorcist; he may or may not choose through you to expel demons.

He lives in us, not just as guest, but as the owner of our lives, since he paid for us with his blood.  It is His will that we are executing, not our will.

Thus our problems, are now His.  Our sickness is addressed by Him.  We can see quite clearly what we want; but we see only obscurely what he wants.
He sees us more clearly than we see him; we need to visualize Him.   Be involved in making His history happen, rather than watching it happen.

Be perfect as my Heavenly Father is perfect, is now possible.  Who is more perfect than Jesus?

His burden can be light, and His yoke has become easy.

Anything you ask for in my name, you will receive, because it is now Jesus who is asking it.

With our eyes fixed on Jesus, who tells us what to do, we have become like the children who gain ready entrance into Heaven.

Our Lord, as master of His house, owns our past, present and future; we can no longer dwell on them   w/o his specific permission.
