God the Father's Bible Book of His Love
Is the
Bible, God's record of love for
man?
Since we are made in
the image of God, we can learn how the Father thinks.
It is God's desire to both love and be loved.
To love, all God has to do is create, because God is
love, but to be loved, God must first allow free will, and
then what he has created is free to love God or not as he
chooses.
God created the
angels, who were free to love him or not (tradition says
that about 1/3 of the angels, including Lucifer chose to
neither love or serve God).
In
preparation for the creation of man, God created the
universe and all living things, and saw that it was good;
but it was man alone that was free to love
God.
Man, through
the sin of Adam and Eve, chose not to love God in return.
How could the Father change this? There was no
human way that man could enjoy God's eternal friendship.The
Bible records in exquisite detail how the stage is set,
step by step, for God to redeem man in the Birth,
crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, so that man
once again could chose to love God.
